Multi-talented French polymath ALIAS has released his first material of 2024: the groovy dance-punk cut, ‘Truth Or Trust’. The track flips freely between restrained cells of funky bass and tight drums, and massive freak-outs fronted by wide, majestic synths and the harmonious voices of Montreal-based dream pop artists Meggie Lennon and Virginie B. You can feel his jazz background underpinning his quietly complex music with unexpected twists and turns. “Stuck in a room in my head during my sleep... A question I can't answer 'Truth or trust?' And the next morning, I'm in my studio, recording synth and drums, trying to find an answer,” he explains.
